Cantilever Racking
The Cantilever Racking is ideal for storing long and volume loads in bulk: such as tubes, beams, etc.
This type of specific solution is made up of a base, columns, and strong and versatile cantilever arms.
This system is ideal for materials of variable length and irregular shapes, as it has no front barriers to obstruct access, facilitating the loading and unloading of products.
Cantilever racks are modular and can be configured according to specific storage needs, maximising the use of vertical space and offering direct access to each load unit without the need to move others.
How does it work?
Simple structure consisting of columns and cantilevered arms. The load is distributed along the arms, which in turn transfer the weight to the columns. Bases and braces help to maintain the stability of the entire structure.
The arms can be adjusted in height to accommodate products of different sizes and shapes. This makes Cantilever systems very flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the warehouse.
These systems can be single-sided (arms only on one side of the columns) or double-sided (arms on both sides), allowing for greater storage capacity in the same floor space.
Advantages
Main advantages of the Cantilever Racking:
- Simple and resistant structure.
- They are versatile systems as they can store products of various shapes and sizes.
- Facilitates direct access to each stored unit without the need to move other products.
- Adjustable arms allow the structure to be adapted to different storage needs.
- No front racks maximise the use of available space.
- They are easy to install and maintain, reducing costs and time associated with installation.
- High mobility.
Components and accessories
Components of the Cantilever Racking:
Vertical elements that support the structure are the columns or posts. They are perforated along their height to allow adjustment of the arms.
The arms or brackets are horizontal elements that support the load. They can be adjusted in height according to storage needs.
Bases provide stability to the structure and, in some designs, also act as an additional storage level.
Stiffeners and braces are horizontal and diagonal elements that connect the columns together, providing rigidity and stability to the structure.
