AR Racking takes the storage of Global Trading de Colombia to new heights

• AR Racking optimises 800 m² of storage with 956 positions for Global Trading de Colombia.

• The Colombian wholesaler optimises its warehouse in Cota, Cundinamarca, with Double Deep Pallet Racking and up to 5 storage levels.

AR Racking has successfully completed the installation of an advanced double deep pallet racking system at Global Trading de Colombia’s warehouse in Cota. This project has helped optimise the storage capacity in an 800 m² space, offering a total of 956 pallet positions.

Global Trading de Colombia, a prominent company in the wholesale trade of raw materials sector, entrusted AR Racking to improve its logistics capacity and maximise its supply chain efficiency. The new installed system allows the storage of products at 5 levels, reaching a height of up to 10.30 m at its upper level.

The system implemented is double deep pallet racking designed to house two types of pallets measuring 1000 mm x 1200 mm x 1700 mm and 1000 mm x 1200 mm x 2100 mm, with a load capacity per level of 2,000 kg. This solution allows direct access to the pallets at all times, which speeds up materials handling and optimises available space in the warehouse.

The double deep racking installed not only doubles the storage capacity without increasing the warehouse footprint, but also facilitates efficient inventory turnover. This is especially beneficial for Global Trading de Colombia, which handles a wide variety of raw materials that require careful and accessible storage.
